Veterinarians

Dr. Jeff  R. Denny, DVM, University of Missouri, 1987

My lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian has been fulfilled as hospital administrator of Ark Animal Hospital.  I was eight years old when I decided my career would be a veterinarian.  At that time Dr. William H. Bales was our family veterinarian.  I so enjoyed Dr. Bales that I joined him in 1991 at Bales Animal Hospital.  Upon his retirement in 1995, I continued there until 2002 when we built our new hospital and renamed it Ark Animal Hospital.  We are actually the continuaiton of the oldest veterinary practice in Liberty that began on the square of Liberty.  We still have the phone number of the original practice.

My philosophy of veterinary medicine is a balanced approach. I try to incorporate the medical and surgical needs of my patients along with behavioral training, nutritional counseling and the use of natural supplements to achieve long term health and high quality of life.  My professional goal is to never stop learning and improving.  I enjoy attending multiple continuing education courses each year to keep abreast of new treatments.

Outside of the office I am celebrating my twenty third year of marriage with my wife Linda.  She is a first grade teacher at Faith Christian Academy.  We have two girls, Danielle and Jacqueline.  Danielle is at Wheaton College in Chicago.  Jacqueline is a Sophmore at Faith Christian Academy.  We all share the house with Precious, a Jack Russell Terrier.  Our family worships at Faith Community Church.  I enjoy personal fitness, triathlons and cycling.

Dr. Chris Morrow has been with Ark Animal Hospital since 2002.  He graduated from University of Missouri Veterinary School in 1996.  He is happily married with 3 sons and 2 daughters.  Dr. Morrow's family also includes 4 dogs and 1 cat.  He is from Lake of the Ozarks and enjoys outdoor activities.

He is a member of the Kansas City Veterinary Medical Association,  Missouri Academy of Veterinary Practitioners, and Missouri Veterinary Medical Association.  He is a Cub Scout leader, Boy Scout leader, Sunday school director, and he is active in adoption ministry.

He serves as the coordinator and full time faculty for the Maple Woods Veterinary Technology program.
