Tour the Hospital

We work to make you comfortable in our waiting room with refreshments, television and a play area for the kids.

A smiling face is here to greet you and your pet as you enter.  After verifying the reason for your visit, feel free to help yourself to a snack. We even have treats for our patients!

After we escort you to the exam room, a friendly assistant will gently hold your pet for the veterinarian. Treats are offered whenever possible to make this a pleasant experience for the pet! Our veterinarians preform a complete physical exam and share any noteable findings while thoroughly aswering all your questions.

We have a computer in each examination room so that we can input our findings, questions and instructions for you.  When you are ready to check out, we will offer a complete copy of your pet's medical record for that visit.  It will include any home care instructions, medication instructions or changes that need to be worked on.

Behind the scenes, there is a station for our nurses and assistants to enter information into the computers, make follow-up calls and order supplies.  The open treatment area allows us to efficiently treat your pet in emergency situations. It is also utilized for those quick visits when we preform a pedicure or laboratory test.

We keep most of the commonly prescribed medications on hand so that you do not have to drive to the pharmacy or wait on shipping.  This also the area where you'll find our laboratory equipment for testing in our hospital.  Specialized tests may be sent to outside laboratories for additional testing.

This is our surgery room.  We keep a sterile environment for surgeries just as you would find in human hospitals.  A sterile instrument pack is used for each patient and there is a pass through area in the wall to eliminate the need to leave the surgery room for supplies once the procedure has begun.

We have a separate recovery room in full view from the nurse's station. A nurse is assigned to monitor each patient before, during and after procedures are performed to ensure proper breathing and complete recovery from anesthesia.

Our isolation ward provides the next level of protection.  The safety of all of our patients is considered when using this area.  Sometimes it is the patient who may have a contagious disease and other times it may be the patient whose immune system needs higher protection than could be provided in our general areas.

Our Pawsitive Beginnings Dog Day Care provides a safe and healthy atmosphere for socilization. The play groups are monitored closely to ensure all dogs have fun and leave happy. Activities include group play, gnawing on a favorite toy, or hanging out with humans who love them.

This room is dedicated to dropping off and picking up your furry family members from day care, the salon or the resort. It provides a transition area for safe interaction with your pet as well as an area where we can assess and address any health concerns before you leave.

Our feline friends find comfort in their own special place to stay.  There is plenty of light coming in their window and during the day they can be placed in our play structure for excercise or a leisurely stretch.

Our salon has easy access bathing areas as well as several drying stations.  Dogs love our HydroSurge bathing system!  Shampoo or conditioner is syphoned into the stream of  warm water as it gently massages our guests.  With a simple flip of the switch, we can rinse the coat clean and then it's off to the warm dryers!

Our canine resort is brightly lit, warm and clean, and a very safe place to spend the night! Our guests are taken outside multiple times per day, and always get a tasty treat after a generous exercise time. We welcome scheduled tours, so give us a call today!
