for enrolling your dog in Pawsitive Beginnings?
The first
day of Pawsitive Beginnings is free. This provides our staff with
an observation day in order to determine if your dog will enjoy
coming on a regular basis. Each new dog is placed in one of our
standard three by six foot enclosures and observed for signs of
stress or aggression directed at other dogs or staff as they pass
by. If the dog is content and/or showing signs of play, he/she will
be taken outside to observe a friendly group of day school
attendees through a chain link fence. One dog is then brought to
meet the new dog, and if the greeting is successful, the new dog is
then allowed to join the playgroup. If at any point during the
introduction phase the new dog experiences stress, the process
stops and the dog is then taken care of as if it were boarding for
the day. When you arrive for pickup, a staff member will discuss
whether or not continuing dog day care is something your dog will
enjoy and/or benefit from.
